Twin Rivers Dance Academy/ FitKINECT Mission Statement
Twin Rivers Dance Academy/FitKINECT (TRDA/FK) is connecting through movement a community for aspiring dancers, fitness enthusiasts, and educators to achieve their maximum potential in their expression of dance arts and holistic wellness for all ages. Connecting through the human body as it’s sole instrument in building confidence, strength, and artistic freedom; TRDA/FK is a collaboration within the studio, stage, community, and everyday life.
Dance arts are available for children and adults, starting at age 3, following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for Ballet, classical foundations for Modern, and B.F.A degrees in Dance, leading to perform collectively in story ballet and choreographic productions throughout the community. Educators provide professional direction in technique, and focus on achieving artistic growth with each student through advanced courses in improvisation, student choreographic processes, collaboration with musicians and visual artists. Students are encouraged to audition for the annual Story Ballet Production, as well as the audition based advanced class, Company Class. This prestigious class offers students more advanced choreographic opportunities, workshops and performance lead roles in Classical Ballet and Modern dance, throughout the year which inspire progress in body awareness, relationships, leadership, and stage presence.
Conditioning is available daily, to students starting at age 8 through adult in the form of movement based exercise, such as Total Body Conditioning, Yoga, TRX Suspension Training, to promote further education in body awareness, strength, flexibility, endurance, and injury prevention for dance and any fitness goal. TRDA/FK provides educators with national standards in certification, for exercise and yoga, such as National Academy of Sports Medicine.

About the owner:
Allison began her dance career with TRDA in 1993. Her education under Kathryn Stout progressed her to the collegiate dance level, attending Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University where she received a B.F.A. in Dance. At Rutgers her curriculum included further studies in Dance Production, Music Notation and Percussion, Dance History, Dance Education, Laban Movement Notation, Anatomy, Kinesiology Improvisation and Choreography.
Post College education included Mark Morris Dance Center, Dance Space Center and Broadway Dance Center. She toured with ACF Dance Performance venues include The Duke on 42nd street, the 14th street Y Theatre, Abrons Arts Center, Dicapo Opera House, Joyce SOHO, Merce Cunningham’s Black Box Theater, Alvin Ailey Black Box Theatre, The Puffin Room and various arts centers and public schools throughout NYC, New Jersey, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
In 2007, Allison became injured. However, in 2008 she decided to reinvent herself and assumed a new goal: to help others. As personal trainer she helped improved the lifestyles of many individuals, she aided in measurably improved bone density in clients with osteopenia/osteoporosis, sustained and improved health of clients in cancer remission and she proudly trained a 2012 Junior Olympian Boxer in which he won a silver medal.
In 2015, Allison returned to Easton PA, and wanted to introduce her fitness and dance knowledge to the community and instantly created a line of fitness and dance classes which focus on KINECT derived from kinesiology, the study of movement.
Since she took over of TRDA in 2016 she continued the ballet program following the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. In addition to ballet, modern dance classes in beginner-advanced levels were added with classical techniques which reflects Mark Morris, Paul Taylor, and Horton as well as Beginner improvisation for advanced students.
Allison’s mission for TRDA
To live a better life through movement; to enhance efficiency, technique and knowledge of the human body, as an art form and mind body experience, accessible for all ages in a family atmosphere.
